My morning routine\n\nMy AM routine is ever-changing and doesn’t look the same as the day before. We have three young children so I have to go with the flow depending on their needs, but here’s what I aim to do each morning:\n\n6:45 - 7:00 wake\nI don’t use an alarm to wake up - our 4-year-old, 2-year-old, and newborn do that for me. Hopefully, I’ve gotten a full 8 hours of sleep so I feel ready to take on the day.\n\n7:00 - 7:20\nI’m reading Own the Day, Own Your Life by Onnit founder Aubrey Marcus who is a big believer that the way you start off your day sets up how the rest of your day will go. So within 20 mins of waking up, I get into my ‘Flow’ which consists of hydrating from the inside out, moving, and light. I drink 20 ounces of water mixed with a freshly squeezed lemon and 1.5 teaspoons of pink Himalayan sea salt. Then I move and get some direct sun. I do a quick and easy 10-min yoga flow on the back patio with the sun beaming on me while our boys, Jack and Leo, are running around like wild animals. This livens my mind and body. I focus on my breath and set intentions for the day ahead. \n\n7:20 - 8:00\nI fast from 8 pm until noonish so I skip breakfast most days but make it for the rest of the fam. Their breakfast usually consists of pasture-raised eggs with spinach or a bowl of stovetop organic oatmeal with fresh berries.\n\n8:00 - 8:10 \nShower time. I’ve been testing different formulas of a new product for the past 6 months that I’m beyond hyped about. It’s an all-in-one we’re calling CLEANSE+, for hair, face, hands, and body. It’s made with coconut oil, aloe vera, seaweed extract and Dead Sea salt (all organic). I’m 33 and my skin has never felt or looked better. I’ve always dealt with some acne and redness and my skin has been so clean from using this stuff. Stay tuned for the late April release! \nI’ll also use the last 3 minutes of my shower to do some more breathwork before turning the water freezing cold for the last 2-3 minutes Wim Hof style.\n\n8:10 - 8:20\nNow it’s time to apply my round of JH products. All of our products we formulated ourselves and we test them before releasing them. My routine is super simple and literally takes 2 mins. As soon as I get out of the shower I towel dry my hair, then spray a few spritzes of our Face Toner and brush my teeth while the toner absorbs. After brushing, I’ll apply 5 drops of our Super Face Oil and massage into my face. I’ll grab my towel again and dry my hair until it’s almost fully dry. Then I’ll take less than a pea size of Clay Pomade and rub through my hair and sort of mess it up. By this time my pits are fully dry and I'll do five swipes with our Deodorant.\nI’m pretty casual and minimal with my style so I’ll typically throw on a black Lady White Pocket Tee and my favorite pair of Acne Studio tapered black denim jeans and a pair of Yeezys. \n\n8:20\nCheck on the kids to make sure they’re alive. Just kidding, my wife is awesome and usually has things running smoothly. This is when she and I chat about the day ahead while chasing Leo around to get him dressed and I get to love on our baby Annie.\n\n8:30 \nI try to wait until now to check my phone. I’ll usually check my texts, the JH Instagram account, and then check to see how sales are performing so far.\n\n8:45\nCheck my emails and get an idea of what my day is going to look like.\n\n9:00\nCoffee time. I’ve been up for a couple of hours and fully hydrated so I’ll make my caffeine fix via pour over with a tablespoon of organic MCT oil (the same MCT oil that’s in our Clay), blend that up and pour it over ice.\n\n9:00-9:30\nHelp get the kids out the door if they’re heading to nature class or the beach with my wife or if it’s one of our workdays together, we head to a coffee shop or post up in the office.
