I have a really thick head of hair. So I’m always struggling to find a product that can give fairly firm hold, but also not require so much that my hair turns gross or unpleasant to run my hand through. This product does alright. It can make your hair seem greasy super easily though. And if this stuff is even a little cold it’s pretty hard to spread in your hands. It’s already hard enough to spread as is.

For the longest time, I thought that my hair product needed to be water-soluble. Because that was the basis of all my purchases, I had to buy brands with many features or ingredients I didn't want. I was skeptical about trying this hair clay, but as you can probably guess, I was completely surprised. The hold is really strong without being stiff or crispy. It has a mild and pleasant scent. Also, you only need a little for it to work all day. And the water solubility issue? Well, not an issue at all. Washes away with little effort and without greasy residue. Best for daily styling and adds great volume.

I started looking for a new hair product when I had read that a lot of pomades and clays have bad ingredients in them and that it could cause hair loss. I came across Jack Henry in my research and was intrigued with the hair clay only having four ingredients so I placed my order. It is definitely a different experience using it. It is a bit dry and stiff to get out of the jar (I am sure this is a result of not having all the bad ingredients in it). Once on your finger tips it applies nicely to your hair and can be combed in. It holds my thick hair very well while not feeling stiff or sticky. I actually had a colleague comment on how good my hair looked on a video call this morning. I am sold on Jack Henry and will be trying there other products as well.
